Product verification
Use this template if you already operate a GS1 verification service for your products. It prepares one optional link to that service.
What this option can and cannot do
CodePersist can connect a product identifier to a verification service you operate. CodePersist does not verify that you own a GTIN or that an individual item is genuine. A GTIN-only QR code can be copied, so simply scanning it cannot prove that a particular item is authentic.
Verification service
Add the public address of your GS1 Lightweight Messaging Service when it is ready. Compatible software can request this specific type of link. Your required product page remains the ordinary scan destination unless you change the default.
ⓘ GS1 link detail
The official type is gs1:verificationService. GS1 defines it as a link to a Lightweight Messaging Service for verifying the status of a product, organisation, or location and its identifier. CodePersist stores the link; it does not host or perform that verification.

Sample brand · Verification service
A compatible app discovers the brand-operated service for a product identifier and asks that service for its status.
Fictional illustration only. This is not a working service or evidence that a physical item is genuine.
After you create the product
Leave the topic empty until you have a suitable service. Once added and published, compatible apps can discover its address through the existing product QR code without relabeling products already shipped.
Technical detail
This template uses only gs1:verificationService. The current QR code contains a GTIN, not an individual serial number, and CodePersist does not operate a GS1 Lightweight Messaging Service. The link points to a service supplied by the product owner.
