Template
Safety and recalls
Give people a way to find your safety advice, handling guidance, and recall status. This template prepares three optional links for information you make available at your own public addresses.
What changes when you choose it?
These topics become available in your product dashboard. They stay empty until you add an address. Your required product page still opens by default. Publishing an updated link lets existing QR codes lead to the new information without relabeling products already shipped.

The three optional links
You are responsible for keeping safety information accurate and current at the address you provide. CodePersist stores the links, not the safety advice or recall data.
Safety information
Link to warnings or other safety information for this product.
ⓘ GS1 link detail
The official type is gs1:safetyInfo. Your website hosts the safety information; CodePersist stores only the link.

Recall status
Link to a current way to check whether this product has been recalled. A recall status service may be intended for compatible apps.
ⓘ GS1 link detail
The official type is gs1:recallStatus. GS1 says the destination is typically an API. You operate the status resource; CodePersist stores only its link and does not determine recall status.

Sample desk lamp · Check recall status
A brand-operated service returns the current recall status for the product identifier.
Fictional example for illustration only. CodePersist does not check recalls or host the service.
After you create the product
Add the addresses you operate when they are ready. You may combine this template with Food and drink; the shared Safety information topic is added only once.
Technical detail
This template uses gs1:safetyInfo, gs1:consumerHandlingStorageInfo, and gs1:recallStatus. The latter identifies a recall status resource, commonly an API. A GTIN-only QR code identifies a product type; lot-specific or individual-item recall checks need finer identity or another supported context.
