Warranty and support

Help customers register a purchase, maintain their product, or contact your team. This template prepares three optional links to services you already provide.

What changes when you choose it?

The topics below appear in your product dashboard. Add a link when your page or service is ready; an empty topic offers no link to visitors. Your required product page still opens by default.

The three optional links

You own the registration process and support pages. CodePersist stores their links; it does not collect registrations or handle warranty claims.

Register your product

Link to the form where a customer can register ownership of a purchase, including for warranty purposes.

ⓘ GS1 link detail

The official type is gs1:registerProduct. Your website hosts the form and receives the customer's information; CodePersist stores only its link.

See an example

Fictional example for illustration only. Your own website handles any submitted information.

Service and maintenance

Link to maintenance steps or information on arranging service for the product.

ⓘ GS1 link detail

The official type is gs1:serviceInfo. Your website hosts the service information; CodePersist stores only the link.

See an example

Cleaning steps, available replacement parts, and how to request a repair.

Fictional example for illustration only. Publish accurate details for your own product.

Customer support

Link to your help desk, chat, or other way for customers to ask for help.

ⓘ GS1 link detail

The official type is gs1:support. Your team provides the help; CodePersist stores only the link.

Frequently asked questions, a contact form, and support hours.

Fictional example for illustration only. Your team chooses the support channels it offers.

After you create the product

Add the addresses you operate whenever they are ready. You can change those links and publish the new version without relabeling products already shipped.

Technical detail

This template uses gs1:registerProduct, gs1:serviceInfo, and gs1:support. The current GS1 resolver link type catalog has no separate type for a warranty-terms page. CodePersist does not treat the GS1 Warranty Information file type as a resolver link type.
